Tools:

  • Pliers
  • 2mm Hex Wrench 
  • 5.5mm Socket Wrench 
  • Spatula
  • Flat head screwdriver


1. Press the Z home button. Once bed completely homes, press Z value button in Utilities page and lower the bed to the proper position until a screw driver can reach the terminal block.

(Note: You can set the height to 50-100mm.)


2. Turn off the power. Open the front door and loosen two lock screws, take out the build plate.

 


3. Remove the Heated Bed Power Cable by loosening the two screws on the left of the terminal block with a small Flat Head screwdriver. 


4. Unplug the Temperature Sensor Cable.

 


5. Use 5.5mm socket wrench to remove the 12 nuts under the Z platform and take out the heating plate.(Note: Do not loosen the grub screws as it will make the bed unlevel.)


6. Remove the 12 nuts on the screws by using the pliers to hold the nuts and a 2 mm hex wrench and pull the screws out of the heating bed to separate the insulation plate and heating bed. 


7. Take apart the insulated plate and heating bed.

(Note: You can use a spatula if it’s difficult to separate.)

   


8. Prepare a new heated bed and adhere to the heating bed.

(Note: Pay attention to the location of the breach)


9. Install the screws back into the heating bed, use pliers to hold the nuts under the screws and 2mm hex wrench to install the nuts. (Note: Make sure they are tight but do not overtighten.)


10. Put it on the lifting plate through the screw hole and secure with 12 nuts under the Z platform.(Note: Watch the direction and do not adjust the grub screws.)


11. Install two wires into the power socket holes and tighten the screws (Note: Do not insert down to wire insulation or it may burn out. The red (power) wire should align with corresponding red wire at each side of power socket.)


12. Plug the heated bed thermistor in Watch direction.
