SLS Improvements

New Annealing Feature

  • With Annealingenabled, once printing is completed, the build unit inside the printer cools down in a controlled, gradual process following the preset temperature-vs-time annealing profile. This significantly reduces deformation and cracking on large parts or warping-prone materials, improving both print quality and part strength.

New Post-Cooling Nitrogen Protection Feature

  • In nitrogen mode, with Post-Cooling Nitrogen Protectionenabled, nitrogen keeps flowing after printing ends until the powder bed cools down to the set temperature. This effectively prevents high-temperature parts from oxidizing and discoloring, and greatly improves the recyclability of overflow powder.

New Material Appearance View

  • Enable it via the main menu ViewMaterial Appearance View to render models with the texture of real powder materials. It helps you preview the color, layer lines, and print result of the final part during the nesting and slicing preparation stages, improving process evaluation efficiency.
  • An Appearance Color option is added to powder material settings, allowing you to change the color of the corresponding material in this view mode.

New Shield V2

  • A Shield Type option is added, allowing you to switch to the V2 shield algorithm.
  • The V2 shield is generated along model edges through low-energy infill scanning, which effectively balances thermal stress and resolves edge warping, deformation, and orange-peel issues on parts during SLS printing.

Per-Model Packing Settings Now Affect Move, Rotate, and Scale

  • Fixed models no longer show the move control and cannot be moved freely by mouse dragging.
  • Z-rotation models can only rotate around the Z axis;
  • Move-only models can only be moved.

3D Packing Improvements

  • Small models can now be nested inside upside-down models, improving packing density.

 

FFF Improvements

New 2D Arrangement Algorithm 2.0 (Accurate Arrangement)

  • A new Optimizationoption is added for the FFF process:
    • Fast: uses the previous algorithm to quickly arrange models based on their bounding boxes.
    • Accurate: a brand-new algorithm that thoroughly computes model outlines, greatly improving build plate space utilization and arrangement compactness.

New Support Bridge Layers Feature

  • Additional Support Bridge Layers are added between Dense Support and Support Infill, improving the transitional stability of support structures, preventing the dense support above from collapsing, enhancing the surface finish on the bottom of models, and making supports easier to peel off.
  • Only effective for Normal/Pillar supports.
  • Support bridge layers are printed with the material used by Normal supports.

Top Surface Improvements

  • Top surface adjustment rules have been tuned to improve the print quality of top surfaces.
  • Top surface now supports wiping, and spiral lift is used in certain scenarios to reduce stringing.

 

Other Improvements

  • Final lift after a model finishes printing: when Z Hop Type is Spiral or Slope, the final lift now uses Spiral, reducing stringing and improving print surface quality.

  • A prompt appears during slicing when a model is floating in the air without supports.
  • When previewing gcode files sliced in duplication/mirror mode, two nozzles can now be displayed on the left and right.

  • Improved the rules and algorithm of Narrow Solid Fill, making the distinction between Solid Fill and Narrow Solid Fill more accurate.
  • Improved model rendering when the material color is set to black, preventing the model from appearing overly dark.

General Function Optimizations

Move Models Freely with the Mouse

  • In View, Pan, Move, Rotate, and Scale modes, you can drag a selected model freely (XY axes), and the model follows the cursor position.
  • This feature is not affected by the preference option “allow moving models in view and rotate mode”.

New View Cube Feature

  • The new View Cube replaces the original view-switching buttons.
  • Supported operations: drag the cube to rotate the view freely; click a face/edge/corner to switch to the corresponding view.
  • When dragging in a blank area to rotate the view, the view cube rotates in sync.

 

Material Template

Adding and updating Raise3D RMS220 material templates

  • Added new material Raise3D PA12 Black V1.5and new slicing template 12mm – Standard – Nitrogen V1.0
  • Updated existing slicing template Raise3D PA NEXT Black V1, 12mm – Standard – Nitrogen V1.1

 

Bug Fixes

FFF Module Fixes:

  • Fixed a slicing crash caused by 3D Text painting.
  • Fixed a slicing crash caused by the Painting feature.

DLP Module Fixes:

  • Fixed the misalignment of dlpcode thumbnails.
